S2336 M42 Recessed Lens Board

Description

Connects M42 lenses with a matching thread, using a recessed design to adjust the lens mounting position.

Construction and specifications

Precision-machined aluminium alloy. Lens mounting-plane rearward offset: 20.95 mm. Check lens thread pitch and dimensions. Pre-2020 camera platforms are not listed as directly compatible; confirm the mounting arrangement before ordering.

Recessed mounting

The recess moves the lens mounting plane towards the camera, creating room for wide-angle lenses with shorter focal lengths or shorter flange focal distances. At the same lens-to-image-plane distance, it can leave more extension and movement room for the bellows. Actual infinity focus and movements remain combination-dependent; the board does not change the lens focal length or optical flange focal distance.

System configuration

Select the rear adapter and Type 1, 2 or 3 bellows for the camera or back; all three share the front board interface. TC191 currently uses four-fold bellows.

Lens-side accessory only; illustrated lenses, shutters, camera platforms, bellows and cameras/backs are not included. Check retention, aperture/shutter operation, clearance, image circle and focusing range for the assembly. Movements come from the platform; mechanical mounting does not imply electronic control.
