Product Questions
An introduction to our instruments, their operation and compatibility.
What does MicoMova make?
We design mini view cameras, 4×5-inch monorail cameras and precision tripod heads, with a focus on architecture, landscape and commercial still-life photography.
What is TC191?
TC191 is a limited-edition mini view camera available exclusively through the MicoMova official website. It uses a compatible camera body or digital back for image capture.
What movements distinguish TC191?
TC191 provides independent front and rear whole-standard tilt, each ±20°, in addition to the separate tilt adjustments of the lens and camera body. The shift mechanisms incline with the standards. With the lens fixed, rear shift within the unchanged inclined sensor plane allows reframing after Scheimpflug focusing without a new focus setting.
How is focusing adjusted?
A lead screw is operated by the focusing knob. TC191 graduations correspond to 0.04 mm linear travel per division. These figures describe dial increments, not measured accuracy or repeatability.
Can I switch between portrait and landscape?
Yes. The mounted camera or digital back can be rotated through 90° and locked for portrait or landscape composition.
Which cameras and lenses can I use?
The system accommodates a broad range of DSLR and mirrorless camera bodies, medium-format digital backs, and large- and medium-format lenses through the appropriate interfaces. See our configuration guide for the camera-interface families, lens mounts and lens-board adapters. For an unlisted mount, contact us about additional interfaces or custom solutions.
What is the relationship between MicoMova and SWEBO?
Selected products are manufactured for MicoMova by SWEBO and may carry both trademarks, reflecting that manufacturing partnership.
How can I discuss a product or order?
Email info@micomova.com for compatibility, availability, delivery and after-sales enquiries. MicoMova is a brand of Sepia Co., Ltd., based in Osaka, Japan.
Can two camera systems share one bellows?
Camera adapters can be exchanged within the same rear-interface family. A change between families also requires matching bellows. Canon EF uses Type 1; Hasselblad X uses Type 2. L-Mount also requires Type 2, despite being a full-frame system.
Can I retain my existing large-format lens board?
Yes, with a compatible board adapter. Supported formats include Linhof Technika 96 × 99 mm, Horseman 80 × 80 mm and Sinar 140 mm. Confirm the board and lens configuration before ordering; the adapter does not guarantee infinity focus or a particular movement range.
