Do you need an additional bellows?

A complete camera kit includes one bellows matched to your selected camera interface; there is no need to purchase a duplicate. To use a camera body or digital back requiring a different bellows interface type, add the corresponding bellows and camera or back adapter. Within the same bellows type, changing the adapter is usually sufficient. Bellows are also available separately as replacement parts.

A bellows module for digital and film backs, with interchangeable back adapters. Hand-stitched top-grain calf leather forms the flexible light enclosure; the internal light-sealing construction and dark, short-fibre surface help control stray light.

Back compatibility

Use the appropriate Type 3 adapter for Hasselblad V-interface CFV digital backs or compatible V-system film backs, or for Phase One digital backs with the matching interface. Specify the exact back model when choosing an adapter. Hasselblad X System camera bodies use Type 2 bellows instead.

Orientation and lens changes

The rear connection rotates through 90 degrees and locks for landscape or portrait framing. At the front, the shared lens-board interface allows lens changes independently of the selected back adapter.

A shared lens interface

The front accepts the system's interchangeable lens boards. Changing the rear bellows type does not require replacing the lens board. Lens compatibility and available movements depend on the selected board, flange distance, mechanical clearance and lens image circle.

Choosing a bellows module

Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3 identify the rear interface, not the bellows length. Cameras using the same type can share a bellows by changing the camera adapter. Moving to a different type requires both the matching bellows and adapter. Select the bellows length to suit the camera's rail configuration.
